Advisory Committee
The WCREW Advisory Committee is comprised of past leaders of WCREW serving in an advisory capacity to the President, Board and Staff. The Past-President serves as Chair of the Advisory Committee and is responsible for recruiting past leaders to serve on the Committee. The Committee provides a means of assuring guidance, continuity and institutional memory for the organization. The primary functions of the Committee are to recommend policies and advise the Board on issues of concern related to operations, strategic policy and planning, and other areas where the committee members may have expertise or knowledge.
Individuals serving on the Advisory Council serve the following functions and responsibilities:
- Attend scheduled Advisory Council meetings. The committee will meet as needed throughout the year. Generally not more than 2-3 meetings per year.
- Attend Board Meetings and offer counsel or guidance as required.
- The Committee Chair will talk periodically with the President to discuss issues or concerns with which the President or Board may wish assistance from the Advisory Committee.
- Perform other duties as requested by the President or Board.
